The coating slurry machine is a key equipment in precision casting (investment casting), mainly used to evenly apply refractory coating (slurry) on the surface of wax molds, forming a sturdy shell, and preparing for subsequent dewaxing and metal casting. This device is widely used in high-precision casting production in aviation, automotive, jewelry, medical equipment and other fields.
workflow
1. Wax mold pretreatment: Clean the surface release agent of the wax mold to improve the adhesion of the slurry.
2. Immersion: The robotic arm holds the wax mold and immerses it into the slurry tank for a set time (usually 3-10 seconds).
3. Dripping: Slowly lift the wax mold and rotate/shake it to make excess slurry drip.
4. Sandblasting (optional): Spray refractory sand (such as zirconium sand, mullite sand) on the wet coating to enhance the strength of the shell.
5. Drying: Natural air drying or sending to a drying oven for solidification, repeated multiple times to form a multi-layer shell (usually 5-9 layers).
