Ceramic injection molding machine is a device used for manufacturing ceramic cores, mainly applied in precision casting and other fields. The following are some introductions about it:
1. Working principle
The ceramic injection molding machine mainly works based on the principle of injection molding, injecting ceramic slurry heated to a flowing state into a pre designed mold, and forming the desired shape of the core through cooling and solidification. Some ceramic injection molding machines also use an air delivery mechanism to input air into the airbag during the injection process, causing the airbag to expand and separate the ceramic slurry in the mold into two parts, one forming the ceramic core and the other forming the remaining material. This can separate the ceramic core and the remaining material into separate shapes, simplifying subsequent processing steps.
2. Structural composition
(1) Injection system: including material barrel, discharge barrel, injection head, screw rod and other components. The material bucket is used to store ceramic slurry, and the discharge cylinder is connected to the material bucket. The internal spiral rod rotates under the drive of the servo motor, which can transport the slurry to the injection head. The injection head aligns with the injection cavity on the mold and injects the slurry into the cavity.
(2) Mold system: The mold is a key component for forming the ceramic core, usually consisting of an upper mold and a lower mold, with an internal cavity that matches the shape of the ceramic core. Some ceramic injection molding machines are also equipped with heating or cooling devices to control the solidification speed and quality of the slurry.
Power system: Common systems include hydraulic or pneumatic systems, which provide the required pressure for the injection process and ensure that the ceramic slurry can quickly and evenly fill the mold cavity.
(3) Control system: Generally, a PLC control system is used to accurately control the operating parameters of the injection molding machine, such as injection pressure, speed, time, temperature, etc. It also has fault diagnosis and alarm functions, making it convenient for operators to monitor and maintain the equipment.
(4) Vacuum system: Some high-end ceramic injection molding machines are equipped with vacuum systems, such as dual vacuum chamber hot press injection molding equipment. Before injection, air can be extracted from the hot press chamber, slurry chamber, nozzle, and slurry valve components to keep the interior of the equipment in a vacuum state, avoiding problems such as eddy currents, vortices, and cold insulation during the filling process of the slurry, thereby improving the quality of ceramic cores.
3. Performance characteristics
(1) High precision: It can accurately control the injection volume, injection pressure, and injection speed of ceramic slurry, ensuring the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of ceramic cores, and meeting the high-precision requirements for ceramic cores in high-end fields such as aerospace.
(2) High efficiency: With a fast injection and cooling cycle, it can achieve continuous or batch production, improving production efficiency. Some ceramic injection molding machines can also be equipped with multi station molds to further enhance production capacity.
(3) High degree of automation: Through advanced control systems, operators can easily set various parameters, and the equipment can automatically complete a series of operations such as core injection, cooling, and demolding, reducing labor intensity and minimizing the impact of human factors on product quality.
