The square floating sand machine is a commonly used sand hanging equipment in the investment casting industry. The following will introduce its structural composition, working principle, performance characteristics, and application scenarios:
1. Structural composition
(1) Body: usually made of high-quality carbon steel, it is the supporting frame of the equipment, providing installation foundation for other components, ensuring the stability and strength of the equipment.
(2) Storage box: used to store a certain amount of compressed air, providing a stable air source for the floating sand process, ensuring that the sand particles can be uniformly suspended and flow.
(3) Air inlet: located at the bottom or side of the equipment, it is a channel for air to enter the sand bucket. The air entering through the air inlet forms an airflow inside the sand bucket, causing the sand particles to suspend.
(4) Enclosed cover: It can prevent sand particles from splashing and dust from spreading, ensuring a clean working environment, reducing sand waste, and also helping to improve the quality of sand hanging.
(5) Air regulating valve: installed on the pipeline between the air inlet or air storage box and the sand bucket. By adjusting the air regulating valve, the air volume and speed entering the sand bucket can be controlled to adapt to different types, particle sizes, and sand hanging process requirements, so that the sand particles can reach the ideal suspension state.
(6) Air supply system: including fans and other equipment, responsible for providing power to the floating sand machine and generating the airflow required to suspend the sand particles. The power and performance of the fan directly affect the working efficiency of the floating sand machine and the suspension effect of sand particles.
(7) Electric control system: used to control the operation of the floating sand machine, including functions such as start, stop, air volume adjustment, timing, etc. Some advanced electric control systems also have fault diagnosis and alarm functions, making it convenient for operators to monitor and maintain the equipment.
2. Working principle
The square floating sand machine sends air into the air storage box through the air supply system, and after being adjusted by the air regulating valve, it enters the sand bucket from the air inlet. The air entering the sand bucket forms an upward airflow, causing the sand particles to suspend under the action of the airflow and be in a uniform and loose state. When the wax film with slurry is placed into the sand bucket of the floating sand machine, the suspended sand particles will evenly adhere to the surface of the wax film, completing the sand hanging process. By controlling parameters such as air volume, wind speed, and sand hanging time, the adhesion and uniformity of sand particles on the wax film surface can be adjusted to meet the process requirements of different castings.
3. Performance characteristics
(1) Uniform suspension of sand particles: By adopting a reasonable air distribution structure and air flow diffusion mechanism, such as a surrounding air flow diffusion structure, the sand particles can be evenly suspended in the sand bucket, avoiding the accumulation of sand particles and the phenomenon of local thickening or thinning, thereby ensuring the consistency of sand hanging quality.
(2) Convenient air volume adjustment: Equipped with air regulating valves and other devices, operators can easily adjust the air volume and speed according to actual needs to adapt to different sand characteristics and sand hanging process requirements, improving the flexibility and adaptability of the equipment.
(3) Large workspace: The square design provides a large workspace inside the sand bucket, which can accommodate larger wax molds or process multiple wax molds simultaneously, improving production efficiency and suitable for the production of castings of different specifications and shapes.
(4) Easy to operate: The application of electronic control systems makes the operation of equipment simple and convenient. Operators only need to complete the start, stop, parameter settings and other operations of the equipment through the operation panel, reducing labor intensity and improving work efficiency.
(5) Good dust removal effect: Equipped with a dust removal interface or built-in dust removal structure, it can be used in conjunction with a dust collector to effectively remove dust and impurities from the sand, reduce dust emissions, improve the working environment, and also help improve the quality of sand hanging, avoiding casting defects caused by dust pollution.
