Horizontal opening die head machine is a horizontal opening and closing die system, mainly used for continuous production of plastic extrusion molding, cast film, sheet, board and other materials. 1. Equipment structure and working principle
(1) Core components
Mold body:
Upper die lip (upper die head) and lower die lip (lower die head): Made of high-quality alloy steel (such as H13) or chrome plated, resistant to high temperatures and wear.
Adjusting bolt: used to fine tune the clearance between the mold lips and control the thickness of the product (with an accuracy of ± 0.01mm).
Heating system:
Electric heating rod or oil heating ensures uniform temperature of the melt (temperature control accuracy ± 1 ℃).
Opening and closing mechanism:
Hydraulic/Pneumatic Drive: Achieve rapid lateral opening and closing of the mold head, reducing downtime.
Guiding device: Ensure a smooth opening and closing process to avoid damage to the mold lip.
Flow channel design:
T-shaped channel (for sheet metal) and hanger style channel (for film) ensure uniform distribution of the melt.
(2) Workflow
(2-1) Melt extrusion: Plastic melt enters the die channel from the extruder.
(2-2) Molding: The melt forms a thin film/sheet of the required thickness and width through the gap between the mold lips.
(2-3) Cooling and shaping: Curing is carried out by rolling or cooling rollers.
(2-4) Mold head maintenance: When shutting down, quickly open the transverse mold head to clean residual melt or replace the filter screen.
